Mya Ward

Life can feel overwhelming at times, especially when navigating difficult emotions, family stress, relationships, or major life changes. I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive place where you or your child can feel heard, understood, and empowered through life’s challenges.

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults navigating concerns such as anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, behavioral concerns, grief, self-esteem struggles, family conflict, attachment wounds, and life transitions. I especially enjoy supporting individuals who may struggle to feel emotionally safe, understood, or connected in their environments.

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and relationship-centered. I believe healing begins with emotional safety, and I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable showing up authentically. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, strengthen coping skills, build resilience, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.

I use a person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and developmentally appropriate interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs. I am especially passionate about trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, attachment healing, and supporting healthy emotional growth.

Seeking support can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate things alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you or your child on a journey toward healing, growth, and emotional wellness.
