Growing up can be hard and for children and teens, navigating emotions, relationships, school, identity, and life changes can sometimes feel overwhelming. Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, behavioral challenges, emotional outbursts, grief, bullying, trauma, identity concerns, or family conflict, they deserve a space where they feel safe, understood, and supported.
As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, I am passionate about helping children and adolescents (ages 5–17) build confidence, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop healthier ways to navigate life’s challenges. I work with young people experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem struggles, grief, anger management, trauma, school difficulties, foster care involvement, identity development, and juvenile justice involvement.
I believe therapy should feel welcoming, engaging, and judgment-free. My goal is to create a warm and supportive environment where children and teens feel invited to be themselves while learning practical skills they can carry into everyday life. I strive to meet each client where they are while gently challenging growth in ways that feel safe and empowering.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I draw from approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, expressive arts interventions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), relational-cultural therapy, and solution-focused approaches to help clients better understand themselves and build coping skills that extend beyond the therapy room.
My experiences working across diverse backgrounds and life circumstances have deepened my appreciation for the unique challenges individuals and families face. I am especially passionate about supporting children and teens from all cultural backgrounds and identities, including those navigating family stress, cultural transitions, forensic involvement, or identity exploration.
Seeking support for your child can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I am committed to creating a safe, affirming space where young people feel heard, families feel supported, and healing and growth can begin. I would be honored to walk alongside your family in this journey.
